Friday 1 March 2024 - The Festival Chorus presents For The Love of Earth, with special guests The Calgary Boys' Choir. Both groups are celebrating milestone anniversaries: 50 years (The Calgary Boys' Choir) and 65 years (The Festival Chorus)! In this multimedia presentation, we will sing to honour and thank Mother Earth, our beautiful home. We welcome Cree Elder, Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes, noted Alberta naturalist, Kevin van Tighem, and the inspiring nature photography of Bob Cook. The program includes music by indigenous composers, and many others, including a premier by choir member, Matthew Mak, and long-time friend, John Rutter. Join us in celebration of the land and sea, the stars and the many wonders of our world. Shouldn't every day be Earth Day? -
