Earth Day at Granary Road!

Earth Day at Granary Road! Activities for the day: 9:30AM-5:30PM - Plant a seed and take it home! Pots, Seeds, and Dirt will be provided for kids to plant their own plant, take it home, and care for it until it grows big enough to plant in the garden or in a bigger pot. 9:30AM-5:30PM - Colour a picture and learn something about the plants which are in our Active Learning Park. 11AM-2PM - Learn about Vermicomposting and interact with the on-site project. 12PM - Build a terrarium and take it home! We are granted only one casino every 24 months and these funds help offset the maintenance costs for the building and so much more! This is a very important couple of days for the Community Association. We typically raise between $60,000 and $80,000 during a casino event however without volunteer help we could not support this casino and therefore would not be able to raise this kind of money. We are looking for approximately 40-45 volunteers over the course of the two days/nights. If you love to volunteer or want a fun day/night out from the family or even date with the spouse, this is the event for you to volunteer at! Please see below a breakout of volunteer shifts that we are looking to fill. As a thank you for volunteering, dinner, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be provided for all volunteers during their shift! Day shifts are from (11:00am-7:30pm).
