Wednesday 14 February 2024 - Haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form that jumped the Pacific to North America. In this two-hour workshop, Zack Beer will teach participants the history of Haiku, including its Japanese origins, its movement into North America and how the style has changed and developed over time. Attendees will also get to try their hand at writing their own pieces in the later portion of the workshop. This workshop is presented as part of Fort Calgary’s Chinook Blast 2024 programming.
