The shows will be an overview of the regions, styles and musicians that have informed and influenced them. There'll be story telling, questions answered and unanswered, definitely some laughs and historical context. A timeline of the the music they grew up with that runs through all their live shows and recordings. Performances of original and traditional songs including Tejano, Tex-Mex, California Country, Cumbia, regional Mexican Folk, Texas Border music, Louisiana Swamp Pop, Cajun//Zydeco and of course New Orleans music. This will also be a celebration of the tradition and folklore of Dia De Los Muertos. In Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle. Mexicans view it not as a day of sadness but as a day of celebration. With roots in indigenous culture it is now a national holiday and has become associated with Halloween. If you love Mexican culture/music/food (and can't make it to Mexico) then this is the show for you. The shows fall early on the long holiday weekend so as not to clash with Monday's Thanksgiving Day. It'll be a nice primer for Halloween and a fun kick off to the Holiday season.
