2017 Japan Photo Contest Dates / Times 2017-09-02 to 2017-10-31 (00:00 to 00:00) Organization Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary Type Multi Day Community Suite 950, 517-10th Avenue SWCalgary, ABT2R 0A8 The Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary has gone live with the 2017 Japan Photo Contest to promote interest in Japanese culture and tourism while fostering further understanding between Canada and Japan. Not only will participants have a chance to share their vision of Calgary, they will also have a chance to win prizes! This contest is an excellent way for Calgarians to spend time with family and friends enjoying Calgary; as well as a chance to showcase the great city of Calgary to a larger audience. Photo eligibility requirements: -must be taken in Canada or Japan; -must be relevant to the 4 categories (see below); -entrants must reside within Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut; -must be submitted by October 31st This year we have 4 categories: 1. Nature 2. Cool Japan 3. Culture, Food & Festivals 4. People While we encourage participants to take exciting new photographs, existing photographs are equally eligible for this contest. Something to keep in mind when choosing a relevant photo is that one of the purposes of this contest is to highlight Japanese culture, as well as the positive relationship between Canada and Japan.
