How can we creatively come together to build safe environments where everyone can thrive together? Mark Lakeman is community building visionary from Portland. He will be joined by one of his Planet Repair partners Mighk Simpson as well as local community experts Alla Guelber, Natalia Zoldak, Lindsay Meads and Kym Chi. Over one weekend you will enjoy the company of other local leaders while participating in dynamic activities that will help gain a deeper understanding of how we can better engage with our local communities to increase interaction, creativity and cooperation. This adventure has been designed for individuals or groups who want to make change at a grassroots level with the participation of neighbours and friends through the deepening of relationships where they live. To close our time together we will put our skills into action and facilitate a public place-making festival at the Contain R site in Sunnyside..
