Join us for an evening of French themed music and stroll through the restored gardens on this beautiful historic site. Fauré's "C minor piano quartet" is performed by violinist Laura Reid, violist Michael Bursey, cellist Olena Kilchyk, and pianist Charles Foreman. The rest of the evening is a poetic tour de force presented by baritone Jason Nedecky and pianist Kathleen van Mourik as they explore the unique prose poems about crickets, peacocks and swans, "Histoires Naturelles" of Jules Renard set to music by Maurice Ravel. "Violons dans le soiree" by Saint-Saëns, a lovely chamber piece about love and warm summer days will also be performed.
