It is designed to share current knowledge on creative expression and aging. Targeted to professionals who develop programs for older adults, artists interested in sharing their skills with older adults, older adults and baby boomers, sessions will combine theory and practice to expose registrants to a broad range of creative expression activities.   Keynote speaker, Jeff Nachtigall, is a renowned Canadian artist whose vision is to unwrap our creative selves. Jeff has been an artist in residence in a long term care community in Saskatoon, where he has enabled adults of all ages and abilities to move beyond their psychological and physical barriers and express themselves through creative art. Keynote David Dworkin, 83 years old, is a retired American orchestra conductor who recognized the significant health benefits he personally gained while conducting orchestras. He decided to combine conducting and classical music into an innovative and effective exercise program which he calls "Conductorcise®," a SOUND workout for mind, body and soul.   These presentations will be complemented by workshops delivered by innovative Calgarians who use creative expression in their work with older adults. Workshops include drum circles, poetry, dance/body movement, visual art, laughter yoga, narrative story-telling, choir, Conductorcise® and drama.   Continuing education credit approved.  Registration requried: www.creativeagingcalgary.ca.  Non-members: $135; members: $125; seniors & students: $65..
