This event is free to the public and attracts a rich array of more than 20,000 visitors each year and has now become one of the most popular and celebrated festivals in Calgary. The 2012 Year of the Dragon Chinese New Year Carnival features performances of traditional Dragon & Lion Dance, festival music and dance, martial art demonstration, vocal singing, folk art demonstration, festival food and an indoor bazaar of more than 46 booths selling all sorts of gifts and festival items. 2011 marks the 30th anniversary of the twinning of Alberta and Heilongjiang province in affiliation with the oil and gas industry. To celebrate this special milestone of history, the two governments have agreed to support the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre by dispatching a team of ice sculptors from Heilongjiang province to deliver the Ice Sculpture Exhibtion at Daqing Square right in front of the west entrance of the Cultural Centre. The Carnival and ice sculpture exhibition will definitely attract thousands of audience to participate which also provides a unique opportunity to promote your products and service to the general public.
