Your host will be the infamous 19th century author and adventuress George Sand, played by actor Olga Primak. Concept by Artistic Director Kathleen van Mourik, A 19th Century Paris Salon - the World of George Sand, Fr d ric Chopin, and Paris includes music by Chopin, sung and played by Angelo, van Mourik, and local pianist Charles Foreman. The concert also features music by other friends and acquaintances of the colourful and gregarious Sand, including Georges Bizet, Pauline Viardot, Franz Liszt, Gabriel Faur , Camille Saint-Sa ns, and even Robert Schumann, performed by all four musicians. Featured poets include Alfred de Musset, another of Sand s many lovers. In addition to this unique portrait of an era in words and music, the event will also include a photographic exhibition by Shane Fage, the multi-talented artist and composer, whose exhibited works will be for sale both evenings.
