Friday 15 December 2023 - This lively concert features choir and orchestra music from a wide variety of musical genres, including classical, gospel, contemporary and new twists on traditional Christmas carols. It will definitely be a highlight of your Christmas season! Calgary’s New West Symphony & Chorus is directed by Henric Ideström and Natalie Prando. Founded in February 2010, this community-based choir and orchestra features almost 100 members who are passionate about music. Audience members have marveled time and again about the fact that this group shatters the typical “choir and orchestra” stereotype; you’ll quickly notice that New West Symphony & Chorus exudes joy and passion at every turn. Our New West Student Ensemble is a dynamic youth choir and orchestra featuring musically talented students in Grades 7 through 12. Directed by David Klob and Elisa Riegel, these young people bring their energy and vitality to every single performance.
