Programme includes traditional orchestra music such as Tchaikovsky s Waltz of Flowers from Nutcracker Suite and Prokofiev s Lieutenant Kije but also includes music from movies such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, White Christmas, Polar Express, Harry Potter & The Philosopher s Stone, Santa Clause the Movie, Love Actually, Meet Me in St. Louis, and more! Tenor Jorge Avil s will also joins the orchestra under the baton of music director Rolf Bertsch. This Argentinean tenor made Canada his home some 30 years ago after having studied voice and oratorio with the International Bach Society in his native city of Buenos Aires. Recently, he toured Poland & the Czech Republic singing the tenor solo in Mozart s Sparrow Mass in C, while coaching the tenor section of the choir.
