Stolen Kainai Children: Stories of Survival Travelling Exhibition

Monday, 29 September 2025 - Presenting photographs and stories from survivors and government workers, this travelling exhibit from the Gault Museum & Archives is curated by Apooyak’ii/Dr. Tiffany Hind Bull-Prete, a member of the Kainai (Blood Tribe) First Nation. It illustrates the evolution of the colonial school system from mission schools to band-controlled schools. Stolen Kainai Children: Stories of Survival demonstrates Kainai children’s experience of survival with the residential school era, while also highlighting the educational efforts and resiliency of the Blood Tribe. Dr. Tiffany Hind Bull-Prete is presenting at The Confluence Symposium on Saturday, Oct. 4. - Event Details
