Friday, 25 April 2025 - The Calgary Horticultural Society's Gardeners' Market is presented by greengate Garden Centres. This one-day signature event brings together gardeners of all experience levels to explore the latest trends, products, and innovations in the local gardening world, and offers attendees the chance to engage with exhibitors to learn about gardening in Calgary's unique climate. With over 50 exhibitors including garden centres, service suppliers, décor creators, gardening product providers, and specialty plant groups, the Gardeners’ Market is a one-stop destination for gardening. It is an opportunity to explore native planting with EcoLogic Horticulture Ltd., discuss lawn alternative installations with Eco-Yards Ltd., learn about locally created fertilizer with Doug Gardens Inc., explore hydroponic gardening with Gecko Grow, and learn fruit plants and their harvest use with DNA Gardens, and so forth. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting your gardening journey, the event provides inspiration, education, and valuable connections to ignite your imagination for the growing season ahead. Other event highlights include: Ten educational talks will be presented by our exhibitors featuring their areas of expertise. The Blue Flame Kitchen chefs are presenting two demonstration classes: Long and Green but not a Bean and Soup-er Success in their on-site kitchen. Beautiful Blooms Photo Contest: five finalists’ photos will be on display and attendees will vote for the winner. Right now, garden photographers can participate in the photo contest by submitting their photo. The winner will receive a fabulous prize package. Feast & Forage Container Challenge: Entries will be displayed and a favourite will be selected by Popular Choice voting and expert panel voting on site. -
