Friday, 28 February 2025 - On Saturday, March 1, 2025, an evening of profound connection and creative expression will debut at Contemporary Calgary. The Oratory Live Talk Show invites attendees to experience healing through art, play, and storytelling, in an engaging and interactive format. Hosted by Priscilla Cherry, this intentional gathering serves as conduit for addressing mental health concerns while fostering connection. For every person in attendance a meal will be provided to the Walker Foundations Feed the Streets program, supporting people experiencing houselessness. The debut show on Saturday, March 1, 2025 is made possible by Calgary Arts Development and is creatively produced by FOREIGNERZ. The show will feature a vibrant mix of live music from YYC Music Award Winner K-Riz and The Family band, ballroom collective Vogue YYC, and headlines 4-time JUNO winning rapper and singer, TOBi. Special guest, Dr. Gabrielle Weasel Head, a PhD Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies at Mount Royal University. Dr. Weasel Head will be using methods of Indigegogy, a term used to describe pedagogy embodied from an Indigenous perspective; how individuals can better relate to each other through self-connection and leading with love. -
