Friday 4 October 2024 - It’s time for a bear-y special check-up at the zoo! On October 5th, bring your little ones and their favourite plushies to the zoo for some TLC. For just a $5 donation per stuffed toy, our dedicated animal health experts, educators, and volunteers will help clear up the mystery of visiting the doctor’s office and explain the importance of regular medical care for both animals and people in a fun and informative way – all while supporting a great cause! Don’t forget to grab your zoo tickets in advance and save big on admission for this event! What to expect: - Stuffie intake and triage - Stitching stations for “patients” who need it - Health checks - Custom prescriptions - Interactions with the zoo’s Animal Care & Health experts - An on-site animal ambulance Cost: - A daily admission ticket is required to attend the Teddy Bear Clinic. - A $5 donation is required to participate in the Teddy Bear Clinic for both members and public guests. Please note: Members can access the zoo via their membership. Day admission tickets are required to be purchased by non-members. All proceeds from this event will go towards ongoing animal care and conservation programs at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. Please be sure to bring your proof of donation to the zoo with you. -
