Wednesday, 18 October 2023 - Join Esker Foundation for a free, conversational tour of the fall exhibitions: Care and Wear: Bodies Crafted for Harm and Healing , and Like Everything Alive That We Try to Hold Forever, hosted by Esker Foundation Curators Elizabeth Diggon and Shauna Thompson. Care and Wear: Bodies Crafted for Harm and Healing presents a selection of crafted bodies from the Brendan & Jude Griebels’ private museum collection of historical craftworks. Like Everything Alive That We Try to Hold Forever brings together seven artists whose works reflect ways that our human bodies exist in relation to non-human objects and the complex, interconnected ways that these objects, through their systemic collection, consumption, and contextualization, impact our understanding of self and others.
