In this fascinating historical novel, one dog must navigate the inky world of eighteenth-century London, meeting printer's devils pirates, hacks, bluestockings, and interpreted laundresses as he searches for the meaning of the mystery left to him by his late master - William Hogarth. D.M. Bryan will be joined by University of Calgary Writer-in-Residence Liz Howard for an inspiring literary afternoon at Shelf Life Books. Readings will begin at 2pm. D.M. Bryan teaches writing and English at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University. She is the author of Gerbil Mother. Liz Howard was born and raised on Treaty 9 territory in Northern Ontario. Her debut collection, Infinite Citizen of the Shaking Tent, won the Griffin Poetry Prize. .
