"The Necessities of Life" ("Ce Qu'il Faut Pour Vivre"): in the 1950's an Inuit hunter named Tivii is diagnosed with tuberculosis and flown far from his family, culture and language for treatment at a sanitorium in Quebec. Dr. Bob Cowie, professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary will introduce the film. Following the movie, he will discuss tuberculosis research and treatment strategy for vulnerable populations in Canada and world-wide. .
