Designed to help kids and families embrace healthy habits that can become a lifelong practice, YMCA Calgary believes that children and youth should also take an active part in their own well-being. This free community event will focus on engaging activities, practical information and simple ways to be healthier in body, mind and spirit. Across Canada, many children do not meet recommended levels of daily physical activity. Rising rates of obesity, related diseases and health care costs tell us that getting kids active should be a top priority for parents, schools and all Canadians.
