Snakes, Turtles and Lizards of Alberta

Learn about the Snakes, Turtles and Lizards of Alberta! Did you know that Alberta is home to nine species of reptile; including garter snakes, rattle snakes, the painted turtle, and the mountain short-horned lizard? Some reptiles, like turtles, are well-liked by society, while others, such as snakes, are frequently misunderstood, feared and persecuted. Join Kris Kendell, biologist with the Alberta Conservation Association, to learn how reptiles maintain a healthy and balanced ecosystem, how we impact their habitats and what you can do to help conserve these fascinating creatures.
