Disability Symposium 2011

4th Annual 2011 Disability Symposium Location: Deerfoot Inn & Casino When: Wednesday, May 11, 2011 to Friday, May 13, 2011 at 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Once again CFT7 will be bringing together employers and businesses, service providers, and First Nations people with disabilities to gather and Share Perspectives.   This event will include employer engagement and supporting employers in recruiting and retaining First Nations people with disabilities with the following goals: To share perspectives and best practices for employing First Nations people with disabilities by connecting employers and service providers. To create partnerships and build capacity within the business community. To explore workforce sustainability in the area of recruitment, retention, and training for First Nations People with disabilities. The event will also include speakers, break out sessions, an awards/entertainment banquet, networking booths, artisans, an interactive Employer Effective Practice Focus Group, and opportunities to be a part of changing the face of employment in the areas of diversity and inclusion for First Nations people with disabilities.  The keynote speaker's this year are Narcisse Blood from the Blood Reserve, Alberta, Shayn Anderson from California; and All Nations Theatre will provide and interactive workshop.  Please continue to check the website www.t7edc.com for updates.  This year registration will be on a mail in basis only.
