Stand Up for Skeleton Location: The Laugh Shop (at the Blackfoot Inn) When: Friday, September 17, 2010 at 7:00 to 10:00 pm Contact: Jaclyn LaBerge Email: jaclyn.laberge@gmail.com I am holding a Comedy Fundraiser on Friday September 17th, 2010 to raise money for my upcoming skeleton season. Tickets are $20 each and provide a night of great stand-up comedy at the "Laugh Shop", in the Blackfoot Inn. (NOTE: you must be over 18 to attend.)I am a development skeleton athlete on the Slide 2014 team for the sport of skeleton. I have a goal to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Last yearI competed on the North American circuit and placed first overall. This year I am aiming to make the World Cup B team and represent Canada throughout Europe and North America. Skeleton is the sport of sliding head first down the bobsleigh track covered in ice. An athlete runs with their sled for approximatly 10m then jumps onto their sled and manuevers their way down the track. This year Canada's Jon Montgomery won the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics!
